Welcome to the Bloggers’ Bench

Let’s sit down on the bench next to Lyndsay-Rose and ask a few questions about her blog:

Welcome Lyndsay-Rose, can you tell us a little about yourself, and your blog?

I’m Lyndsay-Rose and my blog is Being Mum, Being Me.

I’m 27, from East Sussex, and live with my partner of 3 years and our daughter who’s 2. Before having my daughter I used to model and have been an extra in 3 music videos.

How long have you been blogging for?

Since April 2016, though I have been weighing up the idea for over a year

What inspired you to start a blog, and why did you choose your chosen subject?

I choose two topics Being Mum; not to really document my daughter’s life. More for other parents who may read my blog who have similar experiences. Being Me; as when I had my daughter I felt like I lost my identity within myself. I also love reviewing new products.

Is this your first/only blog?

How much time do you spend on your blog per week?

As much as I can, I now have a blogging journal so I can plan my posts better.

What’s the best bit about being a blogger?

I’m learning new things every week.

What’s the most frustrating thing?

Editing my photos and then seeing they haven’t worked as well as I hoped.

Do you find that bloggers support one another?

I’m part of a few blogging groups that all want to help one and other. Which is fab as I’m pretty clueless sometimes.

Do you tell people when you meet them, or friends and family that you are a blogger?

I can’t say that I have, well not straightaway. Most don’t seem interested, or say its a waste of time. These comments won’t stop me.

Can you remember your very first post?

Yes! At the time I felt super proud of myself that I finally published my first post, looking back now I wish I had chosen better light for the photo I included.

What do you wish someone had told you about blogging at the start of your journey?

Networking takes time; there are thousands of blogs out there and you will get noticed eventually.

Is there any advice that you would like to give people who are thinking about becoming a blogger, and those just starting out?

Take time to write your posts, even read what’s written out loud so you can hear it as a reader will read.

What’s next for your blog, any big ambitions for it?

I have a some more product reviews coming up. And a few changes in my life that I’m writing about too.

Apart from your blog where else can we find you on the internet?

You can find me over at :-

I would just like to say a very big thank you to Lyndsay-Rose for giving us an insight in her blogging life, and we wish her lots of success for the future.
