Review
My First ABC, is an old fashioned style book for teaching children the alphabet.
It features siblings, Katie and Ollie, as they go through the alphabet via the use of their family, pets, friends, and things that they like doing.
Each page starts off with the a different letter, and what it correlates to, such as B is for ‘Bouncing Ball’. Then the children tell you all about that person, or item the letter relates to.
The illustrations are old fashioned, and a little fuzzy (this is mainly what gives them that old fashioned look). It has more text than I would of expected for a book about learning the alphabet. There are far too many words for an inexperienced reader to read.
An interesting book, that I’m sure little children will enjoy.

Review
My First 123, reunites us with Katie and her little brother Ollie again. This time they are teaching children numbers from one to ten, rather than letters.
Starting off with One – Just Katie, we then move on to Two, when her little brother joins her. Add Grandad, and that makes Three. Each number adds another person to the count. The book doesn’t just count people though, it teaches what comes in that particular number, such as, socks come in two’s or you have five fingers on each hand, etc.
Each number is boldly written to emphasize which number the children are talking about, so it stands out from the other text on the page.
Once again this book has an old fashioned feel to it, due to it being written in the same style as the first. I must say, it had more appeal, and felt more interesting than the first book though.
This is a book that kids, even those that can already count, will enjoy reading.
