Review by Stacey
Halloween: A Halloween Book of Counting is exactly what the title tells you it is. It is a book featuring items/people/animals/etc that are all found at Halloween and each page represents a number from 1-10.
The book has thick, sturdy pages that are hard to rip, so the book would be perfect for little ones. It is also highly illustrated in deep colours, so lots of blacks, oranges, greens, and purples. The pictures and the colours together give the book that Halloween vibe.
The story is told in a rhyming manner and begins with one little skeleton (a child dressed in a skeleton costume) and ends with the ten friends all having a lovely party.
This is the perfect book for this time of year. It is a Halloween book that isn’t creepy or scary but will help a child to learn to count and give them some joy as they get to look through the cut-out windows and see all the fab characters on their journey from 1-10.
