Review by Stacey
Hello Spring is the first book in a new series about the seasons of the year which have all been given human forms and are best friends.
Each time the seasons change a crown is passed from one friend to another, the next season. As winter came to an end she passed her crown to Spring and the friends waited and waited for the warmer weather, the singing birds, the flowers to bloom, and the butterflies to hatch, but nothing happened which made Spring sad. So her friends helped her to feel happy again and showed her what really mattered.
The story is simply adorable. It is filled with bright, colourful, full-page illustrations that are so beautiful to look at. I love how the seasons have been turned into human form and how their characters reflect just what occurs during the months that are theirs.
There is a powerful message within alongside an amazing story and an education of what occurs during the warmer spring months. This is a truly wonderful start to what looks like is going to be a gorgeous series. It would make the perfect bedtime or class read.
