Since my first visit to Spain aged 10, I have been a lover of Spain and all things Spanish. vOver the years I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over Spain, but hadn’t got around to visiting the capital of the country that I love so much until 2013. The culture and the vibrancy of the city really inspired me to write Hola Madrid.
It took me five years to complete writing my book on and off in between working, moving house several times and a slight case of writer’s block. Visiting Madrid again in 2018 fuelled me to finish writing the story that I had become so passionate about and I made the decision to use my own struggles with anxiety and put them into the main character.
My next book which is set in the beautiful Croatian city of Dubrovnik will be out later this year.
Alongside writing, I also love being outdoors, mindfulness, meditation, dogs and jewellery making.
