Review by Stacey
When I first saw How it Works: The Body, I expected it to be for very young children given that it is a board book, however, on closer inspection when I opened the cover the book had quite a lot of text and information that a young child wouldn’t understand or grasp and I would say this is more for five years plus.
I love the way the book has been split into sections starting with the outer body working inwards and containing a model of what the parts of your body look like. I also love the little facts that are dotted about in blue speech bubbles from Dr Mouse.
The book is certainly informative without getting too technical and is written in an easy-to-understand manner. This would be the perfect book to teach a child about the human body.
I think this is a fab small book that packs a real punch. It is fun, educational, intriguing, and well worthy of five stars.
