Now, I have to admit I hadn’t heard of the channel before but I have noticed there are plenty of merchandise from the channel to buy, including other books so it must be popular.

In this story, it is Maggie’s birthday and so the pair decide to get ready for the fancy dress party they are hosting, including buying decorations and baking a chocolate cake but not everything goes to plan.

The book has plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and is good fun. There is also a lovely heart-warming moment within it too. I can see little ones loving this story. The illustrations are bright and colourful and fill each page.

Overall, Maggie’s Birthday Surprise is a quick and enjoyable read that will keep youngsters entertained the whole way through.
