Review by Stacey
Meet the Family is a rhyming, entertaining, and engaging book that shares details with you of one family. From the magician and his assistant, Uncle Marvello and Auntie Shazam to the fastest baby on all fours, this is a wacky and highly amusing family.
It’s a little bit weird and unusual and reminds me of the stories written by Roald Dahl, helped by the fact that the same illustrator has drawn the kooky illustrations, Quentin Blake.
The story is good fun. It is a quick read and one that celebrates families and their differences. It felt like a trip down memory lane as this is the type of tale I enjoyed as a child.
Meet the Family is a wonderful book that will have children laughing and smiling at the strange and unconventional family and the special drawings.
