Review by Stacey
Race to the Rescue is a young children’s board book that is all about emergency vehicles and includes lights and sounds on each page too.
The book is very short which just five double pages. On each page is a drawing of a scene in which an emergency vehicle might be needed, the vehicle, including a police car, fire engine, rescue helicopter, ambulance, and lifeboat, and a button to press to set the lights going and the noise of that vehicle.
I can see young children adoring this book, who doesn’t love a book which flashes and makes siren noises, plus, best of all it has an off switch on the back for when you are tired of hearing the sounds!
All of the pages are thick board so the book can be safely left with a little one who hasn’t worked out how to be careful with them yet.
Overall, between the amazing illustrations, the short text, the flashing light, and the siren sounds, this book is going to be a real winner for the reader.
