Will you marry me…again?
When Annie Thomas agrees to give her ex away at his wedding to his boyfriend, she thinks she’ll be fine. With her three children at her side, she can handle anything. Then she finds out her gorgeous first ex-husband Evan Llewellyn is flying in from his glamorous life in New York to attend as well!
An unexpected pregnancy ended their relationship and as she stumbles through the ups and downs of life as a working single mum – helping everyone else find a happy ending along the way – Annie refuses to believe their old and incredibly hot spark can still exist.
It’s only when she and Evan are forced to face up to the past together that they’ll discover if they can have their own happily-ever-after too!
39 year old Annie Thomas hasn’t had the easiest of lives. Twice divorce, single parent to her three children Janis, Henry and Annabelle and owner of two Bulldogs, one with an eating problem, the kind that makes him eat everything and anything, including her newly arrived ‘Decree Absolut’.
How will Annie cope with being divorced for a second time? and can she find love again, and could the lucky man be closer than she realises?
Something Old, Something New, will play with your emotions. It will have you laughing uncontrollably one minute and then blubbering like a baby the next.
The opening chapter is a cracker and sets the scene perfectly for the rest of the book, though if you are squeamish it might make you feel a little nauseous. For me it certainly gave me the giggles.
Annie, despite all that has happened to her was still quite vibrant. yes she has her moments of feeling the world is stood on her shoulders, but the way she handles her situation is to be commended. Having to deal with a seventeen year old with an attitude, and looking after a little one with a bed wetting problem, does take it’s toll on her sometimes though.
Being divorced twice before she is 40 doesn’t sit well with her, but that’s life and there is nothing she can do about it. She has managed to stay on good terms with both of her exe’s and has given her second husband her blessing on his upcoming wedding.
Darcie has created a wonderful novel full of strong characters who all hold their own in the story, and have diverse personalities.
She has also brought to the forefront what modern life is really like. With having Annie have a friendly relationship with her ex husbands to her second husband Dex marrying his boyfriend Trevor.
Something Old, Something New is a fabulous book that is a perfect read, ready for the upcoming wedding season.

Darcie Boleyn has a huge heart and is a real softy. She never fails to cry at books and movies, whether the ending is happy or not. Darcie is in possession of an overactive imagination that often keeps her awake at night.
Her childhood dream was to become a Jedi but she hasn’t yet found suitable transport to take her to a galaxy far, far away. She also has reservations about how she’d look in a gold bikini, as she rather enjoys red wine, cheese and loves anything with ginger or cherries in it – especially chocolate.
Darcie fell in love in New York, got married in the snow, rescues uncoordinated greyhounds and can usually be found reading or typing away on her laptop.
