Annabel is a bad-ass hybrid hunter, seeking revenge from the vampire who killed her parents and put her brother in a coma. Arriving in a new town with an undercover identity to protect and the mission to find a pureblood vampire to save her brother’s life, the last thing Annabel needs is to fall in love with the sexy, persistent werewolf who thinks she’s a helpless human in need of a knight in shining armor.
Shane is a dominant werewolf who also happens to be the local sheriff. He has almost lost hope of finding his better half. So when his beautiful soul-mate shows up and rogue vampires try to kill her, he does what any smart wolf would do: he saves her and takes her home, hoping to convince her that they belong together.
When sparks fly between them, Annabel has to decide if she tells him who she really is or runs the other way to protect her secrets.
Annabel (Anna), is a hybrid shifter hunter who needs help from a pureblood vampire to save her brother Kevin, who’s in a coma. She is his only family after their parents were killed.
Shane is the local sheriff, he’s also a werewolf. From the moment he clapped eyes on Anna her wanted her, and now all he has to do is convince Anna to feel the same way about him.
Soul-Mate is a paranormal romance that I would have said was aimed at the YA market, except for the steamy scenes.
Anna is a tough, young woman on her own personal mission. She needs to save Kevin. In order to do this she must find a pureblood vampire and nothing is going to get in her way, and she will do anything to get one.
When she first meets Shane at the bar, she rebuffs his advances, but then after seeing Shane kill some vampires, she faints and wakes up, naked, in Shane’s bed.
Anna states numerous times that she doesn’t want, and hasn’t got time for a relationship, yet the minute Shane wants her, she gives in to him. This I found confusing.
Shane came across as this dominant, over-protective stalker-ish guy. I know he’s a werewolf and they are predominately protective to their ‘mate’, but still, not letting her out of his sight, following her etc – too much and I took an instant dislike to him.
Soul-Mate is unique and features a lot of different paranormal beings. It’s quirky, but I can’t say that I was taken with it, but if you are into paranormal romances then this book will be perfect for you.
