Review by Stacey
Tales from the Ocean is a children’s book featuring twenty different and short stories about life in the ocean separated into four categories – On the Reef, Coastal Waters and Shallows, Tropical and Temperate Waters, and Arctic and Polar Waters. Plus, at the back of the book, there are a few pages of facts about each of the creatures in the stories, set out in the order they appear.
The stories are all very sweet and many contain educational information too within them such as once a clam finds a home it stays there forever, stuck.
The book is filled with amazing vibrant artwork on every page which really brings all the ocean creatures to life. Some drawings are small and in places like the corner of the page, whilst others are full-page.
I love how children get twenty different stories and that each of them is about a different ocean creature. They are all well-written, enjoyable, and interesting. I loved this book and it would certainly make a fabulous gift for any child who loves ocean animals.
