Review by Stacey
The Bim-Bam Boozle Bird presents itself as an engaging rhyming picture book tailored for young children that features an exotic bird who flies upside-down and lives to 102.
The book has been written by Eileen Morrison who recreated the story from the wacky tales her grandfather used to tell her and is complemented by the artistic talents of her son, Tommy.
The illustrations are quite unusual in that each page has a single coloured theme with a different colour on each page. The artwork seamlessly intertwines with the narrative and looks like it is created from stencils.
The book promises a delightful read for children and will give them a giggle as they meet the Bim-Bam Boozle Bird, a bird like they have never seen before. The plot is full of whimsical moments and I can see little ones loving it.
Overall, this is a tale that will capture the imaginations of its young audience. I can see it being a big hit will its readers as they take in this wonderful creative story and ask for it to be read over and over again.
