Synopsis
Read about the real lives of fairy-tale characters in this exclusive collection of letters between curious kids and their fairy-tale idols.
What are they doing now? Was it really Happily Ever After? Is the Big Bad Wolf actually that bad? When will Sleeping Beauty get out of bed? And what makes frogs so kissable?
Only one man has the answers, direct from the ACTUAL LEGENDS themselves: meet C.C. Cecily, Senior Secretary of the Fairy Tale Fan Club.
Review by Stacey
The Fairy Tale Fan Club is a book filled with letters from children (mainly) to fairy tale characters and the responses that the fairy tale characters come back with.
Some children just want to know whether Humpty Dumpty is a human or an egg. Or if Jack could go back in time, would he still swap his cow for the magic beans? Others wanted to know things a little more sinister like if Hansel and Gretel thought the letter writer’s parents were trying to get rid of them.
The book is presented in such a fun way and is easy to read. There are small illustrations throughout that make the pages pop and the letters from both parties are amusing and well-crafted.
Overall, this is such a simple and relaxing book. It can be read just one segment at a time or all at once. You also don’t have to read them in order either. Yet, it is a brilliantly imagined book that will keep the reader engaged the whole way through.
