The Loft – Product Reviews

The Loft Logo

Sponsored PostThe Loft is an online boutique gift shop run by the wonderful Hannah, whose goal is to combine boutique gifts & self-care to help you celebrate whenever you can. You can also follow the store on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Treat your friends & family, or go ahead and treat yourself to help support the big dreams of a small business. You can browse the selection of beautiful gifts both online & in-store. The shop can be found at Robins Mill, Oldham Road Rishworth, HX6 4EW

The site is simply wonderful and is filled with lots of gifts. Including moneyboxes, photo frames, candles melts, plaques, cushions, cups, notepads, and plenty more items that will make super gifts. There are also self-care items such as bath salts too.

The items below are what I received in a mystery parcel from Hannah to review.

Note Book

Make all your little ideas come to life with this cute note pad by Sass & Belle. Wanderlust and adventure abound thanks to the vintage style map design.

The notebook is A5 in size and contains 40 blank good quality pages to jot all your ideas down. The front cover and back cover together make a map of the world and I love the wording on the front ‘A Big Book For Little Ideas’. This would make the perfect present for someone who is always jotting down their thoughts and ideas or someone who is making plans to travel.

I constantly use notebooks and carry one with me at all times. Whilst most that I have are filled with lined pages, this is blank so perfect for including the odd doodle or picture.

I also love that it is lightweight too so doesn’t weigh my handbag down.

Wax Melts and Ceramic Holder

Wax melt holder and melts

I received three wax melts by Emily, Victoria Candles and a ceramic wax melt holder. The three melts were:

BON BON – Sweet and candy like this fun fragrance includes notes of caramel, mandarin, orange, peach, orange blossom, jasmine, cedar, guaiac wood, sandalwood and amber.

BELLE – Spread a little happiness with this bright and bold fragrance, including warm notes of Iris Pallida, Jasmine Sambac, Orange Blossom and Patchouli.

NO. 5 – A gorgeous array of ylang ylang, rose petals, and French jasmine, with notes of vetiver and sandalwood, which provides a woodsy bottom.

Each wax melt has a diameter of 71mm and weighs 30g. They are individually priced at £1.50.

All three have very different scents and whilst I’m not always a lover of scented candles these actually smell really nice. There is also a fabulous selection of different melts online and instore. They last for a long time and the scent really does fill the room.

If I had to choose a favourite I would go for BON BON as it is actually quite subtle. The wax melt holder is currently available in-store only but I really like the pinky/purple colour of it and it does its job perfectly.

Candles and melts are very popular these days and I find that melts are an inexpensive way of getting that same fragrance into your room, they are easy to store and can be swapped and changed as your mood takes you.

These would make a superb gift or even a little present for yourself!

Stag Head Pencil

Who doesn’t love a novelty pencil and this one is so cute as it features a wooden stags head.

I was surprised at the weight of the pencil as I expected it to be quite heavy given the size of the stags head, but it is actually quite light, not much heavier than a normal pencil.

This would make a lovely gift for anyone that likes deers or novelty pencils. Whilst I doubt I will use it as intended it has taken place in my pencil pot and now looks like a supreme pencil that is looking over all the others!

The pencil will be available to purchase online soon.

Winston Scottie Dog Bookends

Book ends

These wooden Scottie Dog bookends are from Sass & Belle and look simply gorgeous. I love Scottie Dogs and these bookends are so adorable.

They are just over 16cm tall and a little over 8cms long with a width of 10cms. The tartan pattern is a nice touch, though it is only on the front side, the back is all white.

They are quite lightweight so will only hold a few paperback books, though you could use them for DVDs, etc too.

I have placed them on one of the shelves above my desk and they are currently holding 4 paperback books perfectly fine. They really do stand out and brighten up the shelf.

The Book Ends are only available in-store. Address is at the top of the page.

I truly love this shop and it such a shame that I live so far away from the actual store as it looks like a real Aladdin’s Cave and somewhere I could spend a good hour just looking around, although I would probably spend far too much on all the fabulous items available too.
