Review by Stacey
The Lost Leopard is a fabulous children’s adventure book that fits a whole lot into it. The story follows Flora, Fauna, and baby Bud as they travel to the Himalayas in search of Clouded Leopards of which there are only 10,000 left in the wild.
The reader gets to travel with the family as they get there by the river, climbing steep slopes, through the forest, and underground. They travel through the snow, sleet, wind, and even the heat to locate these elusive big cats.
The book is written in such a way that the reader will learn a lot, not just about Leopards but about places, mountains, and litter too.
There are flaps to lift, cut-out sections to see through, pages to open up double-wide, and illustrations to marvel at. The Lost Leopard is such an amazing book and one that will take some time to read as there is so much going on, on each page.
Overall, this is a truly amazing read that should be in every school. It is engaging and entertaining from beginning to end. But did the family find the Leopards? You’ll have to read the book for yourself to find out.
