Synopsis
It’s a mystery that’s kept Lucy and Tom guessing for years: how did their uncle end up with that huge gap in his gums?
Did idiots steal it?
Did he pull it out to make drinking easier (he’s incredibly lazy)?
Review by Stacey
Uncle Bill’s Missing Tooth is a children’s rhyming picture book featuring two children Tom and Lucy who are trying to find out why their Uncle Bill has a tooth missing.
It has been a mystery for as long as they can remember but Bill has told them that if they guess right he will let them know they have discovered his secret.
The children take turns in trying to find the answer, some more adventurous than others and none anywhere near the truth.
This is a book that is entertaining and enjoyable the whole way through. It will have children not only laughing along but most likely coming up with their own guesses as to why Uncle Bill has a missing tooth.
The watercolour illustrations throughout add to the fun and bring to life the children’s sometimes strange and wacky suggestions as to why the tooth is no longer there.
Uncle Bill’s Missing Tooth is an interesting and amusing story that will keep children captivated until the very end.
