Synopsis
The first new Guess How Much I Love You picture-book story for 24 years!
One day Big Nutbrown Hare is busy, but Little Nutbrown Hare wants to play so he goes off exploring on his own. He discovers another hare in a puddle – then realizes it’s his reflection. He spots his shadow and wants to race it – only to find it’s just as fast as him. Then up on Cloudy Mountain he finally finds someone to play with: a little snow white hare called Tipps. And she’s real!
This lovely new story is a wonderful companion to the classic picture-book Guess How Much I Love You; a charming tale about friendship with a delightful and original twist.
Review by Stacey
I think most children have read ‘Guess How Much I Love You’ which was first published back in 1994 and possibly a lot of adults too, whether as a child or reading it to their children. For the first time in twenty-four years a new story featuring the hare family.
Little Nutbrown Hare wants to play but Big Nutbrown Hare is busy, so Little Hare asks can he go and play alone in the field. His mother tells him he can but not to go too far. Whilst playing he comes across a Cloudy Mountain Hare and the two decide to play together and have some fun.
The book is very sweet. It takes you right back to the original story which is just about family love. The illustrations are beautiful and relaxing and bring the bunnies to life.
If you are a fan of the first book then this is a must-read. It is about friendship and little ones just having some good outdoor fun. The perfect read whether as a class read or a bedtime story, or even as a keepsake.
