Review by Stacey
You are My Happiness is about two turtles who are mother and child. The baby turtle, Baba is inquisitive, just like all little children are, and wants to see the sunrise or follow the butterflies. The baby turtle’s loving mother follows her child to keep them safe, feed them, and help them along their exploring journey where they find lots of things that make them happy.
The book is a small board book and contains just 26 pages. The illustrations throughout are so adorable and you can’t help loving little Baba who wants to enjoy all there is to offer in the world and is easily surprised. There are also cut-out sections throughout the pages which add to the aesthetics.
The story is told in a rhyming style and with just a few words on each page, this would make a wonderful book for new readers to practice with.
The plot is very simple but it is so heart-warming and adorable as the turtles obviously love one another and mamma turtle will do anything to keep her child full of happiness.
