Review by Stacey
Zizzi Moonbeam: Fairy Party Planner is a beautiful story that would be perfect for any child who loves fairies.
It is Zizzi’s first day as a party planner and she wants to impress her teacher. Letters come in from children asking the party planners to help with their parties, such as it is due to rain can they help, or a stained bridesmaid dress.
It is the party planners’ job to read the letters and help out the best they can. Zizzi is so confident and wants to show ‘she can do it’ that she turns down offers of help. That is until she makes a mistake and misses a letter.
Zizzi Moonbeam: Fairy Party Planner is around A4 in size and is available in hardcover. It contains a wonderful story and has lots of interactive lift-the-flaps sections for children, including party letters to read.
Whilst the premise of the story I would say is for younger children the book has a lot of text which means it will need to be read by a confident and fluent reader or read to the child.
The illustrations are beautiful and fill each page, whilst the colours really pop and give the book that magical feel.
Overall, this is a book that children can have a lot of fun with. It is entertaining and contains a very important lesson about never being afraid to ask for help and that teamwork is important.
